Make US cybersecurity great again

Since 2009, the US Department of Homeland Security has a National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC). A 24-hour, DHS-led coordinated watch and warning center that will improve national efforts to address threats and incidents affecting the nation's critical information technology and cyber infrastructure.

Cyber threats are critical threats for US security nowadays but new President elected, Donald Trump, decided to named Rudy Giuliani as his special advisor on cybersecurity issues. Former Mayor of NYC founded its own consulting group Giuliani Partners which includes as well a cybesecurity practise (giulianisecurity.com).

Every specialist in cybersecurity could wonder what kind of added value and expertise Giuliani will be able to bring to the Trump administration.

In front of Russian and Chinese cyber powers, the US administration needs to improve its cyber weapons. We have some doubts about the Giuliani capabilities in cybersecurity. Trump has a national (political) agenda but he must intervene in cyber issues in order to protect US economy and private companies from cyber attacks.

The US President has to focus its attention on a "cyberwall", a powerful cyber weapon for US economy. A wall, unlike the one between the US and Mexico, that will defend US political and economical interests.
